Located in the Kilombero Valley in the Morogoro Region of southern Tanzania, a social enterprise called Kokoa Kamili works with 2500+ farmers across the region, purchasing their cacao well above market rate (typically 22-25% above market prices) and fermenting and drying the beans in their centralized facility to ensure uniform quality. They also provide training to the farmers, helping them to increase yields and quality as well as helping them get their organic certification. They also provide cacao seedlings below cost to farmers and the community.
We have worked with the roasting and coaching profiles to bring out some amazing fruity flavors in this bar that make it really unique among our offerings.
